We have seen the most mind-blowing revelations from the word of Abba Father in the part of Isaiah 6 that we studied. It is, in the presence of the Author of the bible that we are healed. Head knowledge of scripture does not transform people or cities. Ministries, in themselves, don’t bring revival and transformation to cities and congregations. The presence of the Most-High God does! You can have all the doctrines nailed down and knowledge and still starve in the spirit without His presence.
Isaiah teaches in Isaiah 10:27 that it is the anointing that breaks the yoke. The Hebrew word for anointing means “manifest presence of God.” It is in His presence that demons flee and yokes of bondage break. Too many Christians miss out on the presence of God because they are satisfied with good theology.
The woman with the issue of blood in Luke 8:43-48 had the head knowledge of the healing authority of the Son of God as taught in Malachi 4:2, but she had to enter His presence, to receive her healing. She had to pursue Him and press in, and it was in His presence that her life was changed forever. We, as believers, can no longer merely remain church goers, but we need to be builders of the Kingdom of God. It is in His presence where we are, firstly healed ourselves, and secondly equipped for the calling He has on our lives.
Abba Father gave me an astounding revelation from His word that I would love to share. In Exodus 3:11 Moses, when called to go to Pharaoh by God, says something that stuck with me for a while. It was as if I kept returning to this scripture repeatedly. A strategy of authority in spiritual warfare. It was not as much in what Moses said, but in the answer that God gave him. Moses says to Abba Father: “Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh…?” Abba Father assures Moses not by telling him who he, Moses, is, but by who God is.
This is profound creation of God. Moses asks God “Who am I Lord” and Abba Father almost answers with the picture of “Let Me rather tell who I am Moses as that is what will enable you to stand before Pharaoh and not who you are Moses”. Abba Father continues in Exodus 3:12 to say to Moses “I will be with you…” Do you see that? God assures Moses of His presence in Moses’s doubt. His presence assures me in my purpose, nothing else.
Is this not after all what sin, in the fall of man, robbed us of primarily, creation of God? Did Adam and Eve not have to leave the garden in Eden after they sinned? Sin robbed and still robs us of Presence daily. It is through repentance by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus (Yeshua) that we can return to His presence. All the artificial card houses of theology that churches build collapses in the presence of the Great I Am. It is in His presence where head knowledge of His word becomes redeeming revelation of who He is. Knowledge of who He is (His word), is our weapons that we fight with in spiritual warfare (sword). Is this not why His word is our sword in warfare (Ephesians 6)?
Because of His presence, we can be present in the calling and purpose He has for our lives. The church needs to make radical statements faith in the world we live in. We, as believers must be radically different to the world in our conduct and in the fruit our tongues bare. The church cannot be, the world, wrapped in “religious lingo” any longer. It makes us no different to the world. We have to “compete” with the patterns of the world and not compromise with these patterns. We are after all taught not to be conformed to this world (Romans 12:2), right? We cannot be transformed by tweaking the blueprint of life laid before us by the world. We have to trash the world’s blueprint and be transformed by the renewing of our mind through the truth of God’s word and live a covenant life in Him. It is in this that Isaiah 6:8 becomes part of our lives and that we can proclaim:
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
In His presence, we start to realize that we are but the vessel in His mighty hand and that His presence assures us in spiritual warfare.
